ആകാശം ഭൂമിയിലേയ്ക്ക്
നടക്കാനിറങ്ങിയ സായാഹ്നത്തില്‍
ഞാനറിഞ്ഞു
നീയുമെവിടെയോ അലയുകയായിരുന്നു
ഫോസിലുകള്‍ക്കൊപ്പം നിനക്കായെന്നോ കുഴിച്ചിട്ട
പ്രകാശപ്പുടവ ഇന്ന് നീ
ഞൊറിഞ്ഞുടുത്തപ്പോള്‍
ഭൂതലം വര്‍ണ്ണപ്രളയം കൊണ്ട് നനഞ്ഞു
‘കൂട്ടുകാരിയുടെ നിറം കണ്ടോ’
ഭൂമിക്കടിയില്‍ കല്‍ക്കരി ചിരിച്ചു
വസന്തമാസത്തിലെ
ചോരയറ്റ മൌനം
അസൂയമൂത്ത് നിലവിളിച്ചു
നീയൊപ്പമില്ലാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാന്‍ സ്വയം
കുടശീലകീറി
മഴഭ്രാന്തും കാത്തിരുന്നു
ഞാനും മഴയും നീയും
ഒരിക്കലും ഒന്നിച്ച് പെയ്യാത്ത ഈ വൈകുന്നേരത്ത്
ഈ ഭൂമിയെങ്ങനെ തണുക്കും
